This bathroom wasn't part of the plan, but when the house is already ripped open, you might as well tear another room, am I right?
In order to make this bathroom larger, we had to upgrade our furnace and tear out a 65 year old chimney. It wasn't easy, it was beyond messy but was it ever worth it!
Since we just added more costs to the plan, we really had to adjust and simplify. Chelsea from River City Tile Company was incredible and patient. Together we came up with the plan to have the pink scale tiles as a feature wall, instead of all of the walls.
We luckily found Kitch, who created the most beautiful grain matched maple door fronts for our IKEA vanity. Kitch creates fronts for IKEA systems. They have a showroom right in the west end of Edmonton with beautiful sample spaces and gorgeous options to cover your IKEA cabinetry. I now have all of the plans for our future kitchen renovation haha.
For the last five years, we've been showering in the basement. It feels surreal that we can now bath and shower Ruby in this darling space. The warmth of the Kitch cabinets, and the whimsical pink tile makes us SO happy!!
