Acts of Kindness

Our community is so remarkable! And we believe in giving back to the community that has shown us so much love. For that reason, you will notice that a portion of proceeds from some products are donated back to a charity near and dear to our hearts. Below you will find a list of organizations we support and its corresponding product.

 

If we teach our youth that kindness matters, we encourage the next generation to live a life of growth, compassion, and understanding. To support this goal, every year we donate product and/or money to kindness clubs in Edmonton.

The mission of The Black Bookshelf Project (TBBP) is to promote equity and facilitate access to books that illuminate anti-racist concepts, amplify BIPOC voices, and celebrate diversity throughout Alberta's schools. Representation matters, and TBBP wants to ensure that all children are able to see themselves (and others who look like them) represented in books within their learning environments. 

 

 

Sparked by the discovery of 215 unmarked graves at the Kamloops Residential School, we have designed a pin that encourages support and education for the Indigenous community.

In 2021 we donated $1,005 to the the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. We hope to raise even more money this year for local Indigenous initiatives working to provide services for the Indigenous community.

 

HEROES WEAR SCRUBS PIN: Home for Dinner program

The Ronald McDonald House Home for Dinner Program provides reliable, home-cooked meals for families in their care 365 days a year.

Preparing a meal can be a stressful task after spending a long and potentially emotional day at the hospital, but thanks to generous volunteers the House can reduce this stress for families.

 

PEACE FINGERS PIN: Racial Equity Organization

In conjunction with our kindness initiative, we have designed a pin that encourages support and education for racial equity. We have included the hashtag #representationmatters because we believe it is important for everyone to see themselves in the world around them.

A portions of the proceeds from the sale of this pin will go towards supporting a Canadian organization that promotes racial equity.

  

BELIEVE PIN:  We All Believe In You (WABIY)

WABIY is a community for those struggling with mental illness developed by survivors of mental illness. WABIY highly values community, and to reflect that value they started an online Facebook support group for those struggling with mental illness. To date, over 700 individuals are part of this online movement, regularly discussing struggles and offering support and connection to each other.
